Explore the Mexican Caribbean with the Cancun Catamaran + Snorkel!

Hello Traveler – Those who have been to Cancun have experienced the mesmerizing beauty of what is known as the Mexican Caribbean and the ever-changing colors of its waters. They have embraced the tropical temperatures and friendliness of its people. But they may not take advantage of Cancun’s catamaran charters or the many other water adventures this part of Mexico has to offer.

Beautiful Beach Cancun

Most of Cancun’s many resorts are constructed with the shortest entree to beaches – known locally as “playas” – with stunning views of the sparkling pure waters that style it such a popular destination. Cancun consists of several beaches, and while casual guests may have their favorites, it’s tough to go mistaken. Among the most general are the playas de las Perlas, Langosta, Juventud, Tortugas, Linda,  Caracol, and Chac-Mool, some of which lie along with Avenue Cancún and Paseo Kukulkán completely the way from the town limits (among them, Caracol, Tortugas, and Chac-Mool tend to be the active). Also of attention is the 7.5Km long Paseo Kukulkán, which is an 18-hole municipal golf course recognized as Pok-ta-Pok.

Another destination strictly connected to Cancún is the tour to Isla Mujeres beautiful Isla Mujeres (Island of Women). About 13 Km from the landmass and just a short hydroplane trip from the pier at the contract center (Central Cancún), this extended, thin island – just seven kilometers long and 650 M wide – is popular with surfers for the better surfs practiced on the beach. its east coast, while divers love the plentiful marine life surrounding its many coral reefs.

The Cancun Subaquatic Museum

One of the rarest attractions in this resort city is the Cancún Subaquatic Museum (MUSA). Established in 2009 in the backwash of hurricane damage to Cancún National Marine Park, this ocean floor attraction is devoted to the “art of conservation” and is a pleasure for divers to discover. At the heart of this sole art, group are the more than 500 statuaries spread crossways two subaquatic galleries (some located on the ground in a close mall) underwater at nadirs of between 3 and 6 meters and surrounding human figures in various poses (there are even concrete cars). Co-composed by 6 artists from Mexico and the UK, the statues will eventually form the foundation for a new coral reef. Hot Tip: If driving isn’t your object, this magnificent group can be watched from the ease of one of the several glass trip boats that line the waters.

More than the Beach

While many tourists spend their days going to and from the city’s picturesque beaches, Cancun offers visitors much more, Cancun tours. Here are some opportunities that await those who want to do more than just dip their toes in the water:

Catamarans: Catamarans offer a combination of relaxation and adventure. You can hop on a catamaran and head to one of Mexico’s most beautiful islands, Isla Mujeres, or take advantage of unrivaled snorkeling in the calm and beautiful waters. If you want, you can lay out in the sun and soak up the sun. Rentals are available for groups of twenty to eighty passengers.

Sport Fishing: Renting a fishing boat, or a speed boat tour in Cancun is much more affordable than you might think, or you can join other single fishermen on a journey to catch sailfish, marlin, mahi-mahi, grouper, and many other types of fish. The best excursions and charters include fishing and bait licenses, equipped with a fish finder, GPS, high-quality fishing rods and reels, and battle seats.

Scuba Diving: Scuba diving in Cancun is great, but few diving experiences can match cave diving at Cenote caves on the Riviera Maya. Part of the Mayan underground water system, these caves have incredible stalagmite and stalactite formations and visibility of 300 feet. You can also enjoy reef and shipwreck diving which will give you a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Jungle Tour: For visitors to Cancun, the Nichupte Lagoon is a must-see. The best way to see the jungle is to sign up for a tour that lets you ride your speedboat, gives you plenty of time to snorkel, and provides you with a trained guide.

Events to Remember

Cancun Catamaran rentals are perfect for corporate events, spring break parties, or just to cruise and have fun. For more elegant occasions, or when a regular boat can’t do it, chartering a yacht is sheer perfection. With a capacity of at least forty passengers, charter cruises are perfect for weddings, receptions, family events, or even a private romantic getaway.

The price is right

Whether you want to go fishing or rent an exclusive yacht, the price is quite affordable. Next time you go to Cancun, do more than just dip your toes in the water. Take advantage of a Cancun catamaran charter or one of the many other opportunities that await, and dive in!
